Meet the Maker
Behind every limited edition batch of Wildly Virgin is a passionate maker. These farmers, producers, and craftspeople have been making olive oil for generations and in a world of mass produced oil, their stories are rarely told.
João Mendes
João's family has been producing olive oil for four generations. With a dedication to sustainable farming he recently won an award from the Department of Agriculture as the first producer in Portugal to be 100% sustainable. Born and bred in the Ribatejo area he helps many local farms produce olive oil.
